when i got home from work i noticed that my bike had been stolen, the wire cut. i told the guy that runs the building and he seemed to think that it was people jumping the fence and then helping themselves to the bikes. another tenet thinks that it's the girl upstairs who is moving and might be a tad bit bitter, leaving the gates open after she's done loading up her car.
so i call the police to report the incident in case it was people jumping the fence, that worries me a bit. it's not the bike...the tire was almost flat and the seat was too low, and it hurt to ride, but the jumping over the tall gate to take it....
anyway i called the non-emergency number and told the operator. he told me a police would call later so i could officially file the report.
the police called me tonight at midnight.."is this ms. beshel? did you call the police?"
it took me a minute to register that yes, i did call the police...but why would they call so late?
anyway, i filed the report. i don't think i'll ever see that bike again.

after having one of the best long weekends of my life, i slept for 15 hours straight.

the cable guy asked me if i "wanted all the channels?" right after i told him i only paid for 20 of them. i stared at him for a moment and he laughed and said, "oh girl, you think i'm testing you!"
i turned them down. i succeeded in my moral challenge for the day.
(yet that doesn't make not having the food network, comedy central, and cartoon network any better.)

so, i had the time of life spending other people's money on jewelry i hand picked. found out that my boss really does like me.
i just finished the last class of my college career. i stupidly forgot to keep up with my writing journal, so now i have to hand that in thursday, but other than that i'm done. done with college, done with classes, done! i'm moving apartments tomorrow and thursday. so new chapter of life- here i come.

one class is almost down. i've secretly started counting down the days until it's all over. it helps when i've done my homework and feel accomplished; need to get stuff done on schedule. no procrastination!

summer school gets in the way of sno-balls, kite flying, sun bathing, pool swimming, picnics and the like. my old english teacher thought i'd be a good candidate for a teaching position at country day. bizarre, i know. am i capable of that? would i even want to do that? paid summer vacation is a very big perk in my book, though. ugh, life changing decisions are hard. (no duh, right?) can i survive another hurricane season?......

after a bag of cheetos and a chocolate malt, things look worlds better. then you get a slight tummy ache and you drink some water till it goes away. i think that is how life works- you feel down and wanna eat some snacks, so you do. maybe you go a little over board and give yourself a tummy ache but it's okay because every thing is now in perspective and you realize the tummy ache is gone and you can still eat the crumbs at the bottom of the bag.

i graduated from college today!! yay for me. i did it with honors, that made my dad proud and he felt better about spending all that money on my education, ha ha. i still have to go to summer school thanks to katrina but it's cool, i've completed college in my head. if only they had given me my diploma today instead of an empty folder-thingy.
i'm going to celebrate a lot tonight. thanks to my parents, they are the best. thanks to my friends for coming, i feel extra special with all the added attention.
it feels good to have that tassel swinging from my rear view mirror.
